Dec 06, 2016  I am trying to write a program in C using Dev-C 5.6.1. I go to compile the program, and nothing happens. It compiles with zero errors, zero warnings, and an output of 0 bytes (it doesn't even create an exe file, nor any of the.o files). Dev c not compiling in linux. This maybe because the c compiler is designed to work in linux.I had this problem too and to fix it go to tools and select compiler options.In the box click on programs Now you will see a tab with gcc and make and the respective path to it.Edit the gcc and make path to use mingw32-c.exe and mingw32-make.exe respectively.Now it will work.

So you've decided to move from from one streaming service to another but you don't want to leave behind years of painstakingly curated playlists and collections of songs, albums, and artists. We've got the perfect solution —here's how to take all your playlists with you.


Streaming services have become the norm for how many of us listen to music and watch TV. While there's often a great amount of variation between a video service like Netflix and Hulu, there's less variation between services like Spotify and Apple Music.
Most of us will stick with one music service, perhaps for years, and build up a pretty decent library of favorites. So, what happens if you want to switch services? If you decide you want to try out another one, what happens to all those playlists you've lovingly crafted on another service? What about your gigantic library of songs that you've spent all that time collecting?
Fortunately, you don't need to leave them behind, and you certainly don't need to painstakingly remake, re-fave, or re-find all of the playlists, songs, artists, and albums you love. Thanks to third-party services like Soundiiz, you can bring them along with you.

Taking your music with you

Because music streaming services have managed to make music as social as they have, there's lots of data points that can be searched, compiled, and transferred between two or more services. If you've ever shared a playlist with a friend, you already have the basic idea of how this works.
There are plenty of third-party services that are able to read this data and transfer it from one streaming service to another. After trying very nearly all of them, we think that Soundiiz combines a decent price point that starts with free, amping up features for paid.
If you're looking to do the majority of the work in just a few minutes, and especially if you've got collections across multiple streaming services, Soundiiz might be the one for you. It can transfer collections between services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, YouTube and YouTube music, SoundCloud, Google Music, Pandora, Slacker, Last.fm, and more.

The process

The whole ordeal takes just a couple of minutes provided you've got a computer handy. Be aware that to do this, know that you have to be migrating from a Spotify Premium account —it isn't possible to copy over from the free tier.

• Step one: Sign up for an account at Soundiiz.com and verify your email with their website.


• Step two: Connect the services you wish to transfer music between. For me, that was my Spotify Premium account and my Apple Music account. You will need to verify via two-factor authentication when you connect Apple Music with Soundiiz, so if you're on PC, make sure you have your iPhone or iPad handy.


• Step three: Allow Soundiiz to compile a list of your playlists, this should only take a couple of seconds unless you've got a particularly robust list of data to fetch.


• Step four: Select the songs, artists, or playlists you'd like to transfer between the two services. Do this by going to the Soundiiz sidebar and picking the appropriate category, such as playlists.

A quick note on Soundiiz premium vs Soundiiz free

Music

There is a free version of Soundiiz, which allows you to transfer over playlists one-by-one if you so choose to. You can also use it to take stock of what music you have on what platform, if you're the type of person who may have multiple subscriptions to different services. And, on the free tier, Soundiiz will only make a new playlist with 200 tracks in total per list —larger playlists will get truncated to the first 200 songs.
The premium version, however, costs $36 annually or $4.50 a month if you choose monthly billing. Soundiiz Premium gives quite a few benefits over the free version. By using the premium version, you can transfer multiple playlists, artists, and tracks to different platforms all at the same time. Premium users get the ability to export playlists as CSV, TXT, JSON, and URLs. Playlists can also be combined into one large playlist or separated into smaller playlists before being transferred to a service.
If you just need to transfer over playlists and you only have a couple, it may be worth sticking with the free version. We're using the $4.50 one-month subscription to Soundiiz.

Imperfect

There is one big limitation to be aware of. If you're a person who has used a service like Spotify for years, you may have followed quite a few artists in your time. Apple Music does not have an equivalent feature to 'following' an artist, which largely is just an easy way to keep tab of artists you're interested in checking out.

Apple Music is not the only service that has these limitations, so you may want to try the free version of Soundiiz and see what data can be transferred between which services.

Now that Apple’s HomePod is out in the world, it has the potential to really disrupt the natural order of things. You see, unlike existing smart speakers — like the Amazon Echo, Google Home and even the Sonos One — Apple’s HomePod doesn’t and will never support third-party voice commands. If you’re a Spotify subscriber, for example, you’ll never be able to ask your HomePod to play certain songs or ask questions about the artist or album. You’ll be able to ask Siri to play/pause, skip tracks and adjust the volume if you subscribe to another music service, but nothing more specific than that.

That’s right, it’s Apple Music or bust with the HomePod, which admittedly is a little bit of a bummer, but it’s also likely to convert a lot of people over to Apple Music. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Apple Music could surpass Spotify, which as of this past fall had almost double Apple Music’s subscribers (70 million vs 30 million), this year.

But switching from Spotify to Apple Music can be intimidating. The two interfaces are noticeably different and podcasts aren’t integrated into the Apple Music app like they are with Spotify (you need to open the separate Apple Podcasts app for that). If you find yourself in this predicament — not wanting to switch over because you’re so heavily invested — a way to make that transition slightly easier is to quickly transfer your Spotify playlists over to Apple Music. You need to download a separate app, like Stamp or SongShift, and you’ll most likely have to pay a small fee, but it’s a small price to pay to carry over your playlists. Here’s how to do it.

Your first option: SongShift

1. Download the app. If you have an iPhone, click here. There is no Android app.
2. Open the app and select “get started.” Select “Spotify” and then “Apple Music” in the “available services” section. You’ll have to give the app access to each music service.
3. You’ll want to start a “shift” to transfer playlists. Select Spotify > the specific playlist > and then Apple Music.

The free version of SongShift only allows you to carry over playlists up to 100 songs for free, which is why we suggest trying this app first. For $0.99 you can remove in-app ads. For playlists with over 100 tracks, you’ll have to pay $2.

The fall-back option: Stamp

2. Open the app and follow the steps to give it access to your Spotify account.
3. It’ll then ask you to “select destination” for where you want the playlists to be transferred to. Select Apple Music.
4. Select the playlists that you want carried over.

Music Membership
